Acuracy with honest feedback

| These clubs will give 'honest' feedback on each shot. They are dead accurate clubs, especially the short irons. I'm a 15 handicap but I can hit these clubs much better than I have been with the Big Bertha's. I made a commitment to improve my game and had chosen these clubs with which to do so. Being forged blades, they may be intimidating at first. I had no trouble hitting them from the start. I feel that I now can develop a consistent shot across all the irons because of the forged blade design. I also find that the Callaway x-forged blades are quite forgiving and are not as critical as other blades. Overall, great irons for serious golfers at any level. They will help you improve your game if you can take the honest feedback with humility. I highly recommend them. |
Forget Game Improvement Irons, Go with these Blades

I agonized over buying my irons set like most people. I played rounds with rented new sets, I went to the store and tried practice swings with some of the latest game improvement (multi metal) irons sets and just plain agonized over what I'd get.
At the end of the day, I went with this X Forged Set. I must say its one of the best decisions I ever made for several reasons:
a) I find that even though I'm not a pro, I can hit these (contrary to what every review out there says)
b) They look great at address (thin lines, just gorgeous)
c) They look great in the bag
d) They're blades so you won't get trash from other players when they see you playing with these (you get the look that says, oh - you can hit those!) whereas, if I were hitting game improvement irons my peers would say (oh, well....you're hitting good but that's because you're hitting game improvement irons, here try my blades to see how you do).
In the end of the day what I have found is that if you practice hard enough and are comfortable with a set of clubs, you'll improve with them and get better at hitting the ball so long as you consistently play the same clubs and just get used to them. Its the player not the clubs!
So with that, I'm so glad I went with the forged blades from Callaway -- they're going to be in my bag for a decade and I'm glad I dished out the litte bit extra money and I'm also glad I went with the X-forged.
My recommendation to you is this -- go to a clubhouse where they have different brands of irons, take some practice swings with each of the brands of clubs out there. I discounted about 60% of the candidates that way...some just didn't feel right when I swung. Then look at them at address and see if you like the look, because you're going to be with that look for a long time....that had me cut out another 30% of the clubs. Then I played with the remaining few sets or swung at the practice net and decided the winner -- x forged. If you can't find a store with a better price than Amazon, you won't -- get this set through Amazon.
Overall, tremendously happy with this and even happier that I didn't spend a grand on a game improvement set that peer pressure made me upgrad e to these in 5 years.
JUST GO ALL OUT with these and save the grand of game improvement irons. |
